The project confirms the state-owned oil company’s confidence in TEMA in its efforts to manage its operations in a sustainable manner
TEMA has obtained the extension of the contract signed with Petroperu, one of the most important state-owned companies in Peru. The work will consist of identifying contaminated sites in hydrocarbon transport, refining, distribution and commercialization operations. The analysis of soil and water affected by possible fuel spills ensures that the supply of oil throughout this Andean country is carried out with the least negative impact on the environment.
TEMA’s research is practiced in remediated areas in the Norperuvian Pipeline, a vast facility that transports oil and its derivatives over long distances. The pipelines stretch for more than a thousand kilometers and cross the coast, the Andes Mountains and the Amazon jungle.
Field work is focused on flood zones. These are remote locations, accessible only on foot or by boat. TEMA Peru’s work had an initial phase that lasted 32 days and was successfully consolidated, confirming the TEMA LITOCLEAN Group’s ability to operate in this type of environment, which involves complex logistical activity.
