Alfredo Romero joins the security department and Ander Sáez Amorrortu, the commercial department.
Tema Mexico is expanding its team and has recently incorporated two new members: Alfredo Romero, an electromechanical engineer with a postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety and Hygiene, who will serve as Project Engineer, and Ander Saez Amorrortu, a chemical engineer specializing in Petroleum, Petrochemical and Energy Sources and Environment with a master’s degree in Integrated Management and Occupational Risk Prevention with a specialization in Industrial Hygiene, who will be part of the commercial area as a business development specialist.
Romero has extensive experience in the oil & gas sector and is a specialist in Process Risk Management. gas sector and is a specialist in Process Risk Management, highlighting in his profile the knowledge and experience in the management of Industrial Safety, Operational Safety and Environmental Protection Management Systems (SASISOPA), Programs for the Prevention and Integral Control of Methane Emissions (PPCIEM) and the Estimation of Probable Maximum Loss (PML), which together with its certifications as leader in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) by ABS, as well as “Functional Safety Engineer” by TÜV Rheinland, contribute to Tema Mexico’s objective of being strategic partners in Integrated Risk Management and Sustainability.
For the new employee, this new position is a great motivation because “Mexico is a country full of natural resources and is shaping up to be a world power in the near future, but it faces great challenges in terms of regulatory compliance and changes in the safety culture”. His objective is to put his experience at the disposal of the company and its client portfolio to carry out this transition process in an adequate manner, as well as to promote services for the energy sector related to new infrastructures and green energies.
For his part, Sáez Amorrortu has spent more than a decade in the hydrocarbon sector in the environmental field as project leader and carrying out prospecting, sales and commercial management functions, which gives him in-depth knowledge of the Mexican market. His objective is “the expansion and consolidation of the soil and water characterization and remediation business line”. The new member of staff believes that the changes in the country will bring about “an increase in decontamination and research projects”, which may mean achieving the main objective in a shorter period of time. “It is a challenge for us, as it forces us to be attentive to the changes and efficiently investigate where the projects are going to be carried out and who the decision makers are,” he adds.
